Mitex General

The Mitex General is our flagship model designed with versatility and ease of use in mind. With 5 watts power output on UHF, the General is a powerful, durable and yet compact radio that delivers clear and reliable communications. The Mitex General is supplied pre-programmed and ready to use straight from the box, with no set up required and minimal user training. Channels 13, 14 and 15 are common across all Mitex UHF handportables including the Security, Site and HD UHF; channel 16 offers a scan function.

As the name suggests, the General\'s applications are endless, providing a simple communications solution for consumers and business alike. The General is now widely used for activities such as hiking, cycling and camping as well as being an effective tool in schools, shops and warehouse applications. The Mitex General is also a perfect step up for the PMR446 user who requires more power and privacy than license free radios can provide. Legal operation of these units requires a current Business Radio Light License, available from Ofcom at just £75 for 5 years; one license covers an unlimited number of handsets. The license application form is included in the box and simple to fill out.
